BigGrin Hi Becky

I would say get a king charles cavalier! They are lovely, well manered dogs. I have two, a bitch ruby coloured (see the avitar) and a boy tri-coloured.

My girlie Poppy is a lovely cuddly popit, Charlie is a chunky monkey and selective with cuddlesLOL LOL

If you had a girlie it would be fineWub

I did have a yorkie........be warned they yap and pull!Love sadly she is in doggie heavebSad

Good luck with your searchBigGrin

Hi Becky - I've got a cavalier king charles too, called Misty. It's a great breed, small but fun and very, very cuddly!! They are a bit talkative, and not too bright, but loveable and so very pretty. Misty is 3 now and she was very slow learning, but now she's fine and can even do tricks (sort of). I don't often take her on long walks (well sometimes it's just out in the garden) but she doesn't mind.

Many years ago, I used to have 3 springer spaniels - now they were hard work!! But I loved their energy and eagerness and was looking for something similar but not so demanding. Misty is a miniature springer but without the insatiable water and ball obsession. She's called a blenheim colour - that's chestnut and white.

Good searching - a dog is a great companion - Sylvia xx

A fabulous dog to walk is a retired greyhound, they are taught to walk beautifully and never pull, don't need much exercise at all but you do need to make sure it is dog friendly or it will pull your arms out to get to a small furry! I appreciate that its not a small dog- but so gentle!
We got our current dog from the The Oldies website and he is 12/13ish and just potters and sniffs and is not really so bothered about walks if we are not up to it- prefers to sleep most of the time! So an older dog might be wothy looking at?

His rehoming story is on site if you want a peep- his name is Jack and he is a cross jack russell/staffy.
This should take you to his page hopefully.
